Atlanta, GA (March 14, 2017) – The Atlanta Silverbacks Football Club has signed 31-year-old Abdul Bangura for the 2017 NPSL season. The 6’1” centre-back looks forward to an exciting season back in Atlanta.

This is the second signing of 2017 making a return visit to Atlanta. Bangura previously signed with the Club in 2014. He began his successful career at Montreat College, a NAIA college in North Carolina. He played all four years, earning all-conference honors during with junior and senior years. Bangura then spent two seasons in Sweden playing for Harnosand FF. While there, he was the only player on his team that appeared in every match from 2011 to 2013. Abdul was named to the league’s Best XI in Sweden, reserved for only the top three defensive players in Division II Norrland.
